Ann Johnson, 92, of Vaiden, formerly of Greenwood, passed away Friday, November 10, 2017, at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital.
She was born to Jacob Henry Gammill and Nancy Amenda Reeves Gammill in Moorehead on June 3, 1925. She was preceded in death by her husband, Singleton L. “Demp” Johnson, Jr.; her parents Jacob and Nancy Gammill; sister, Minta Louise Gammill; brothers, William Odus Gammill and Richard Everet Gammill; and a great-grandson, Ethan Heinrich.
Survivors include her daughters, Julia Scott Downs of Greenwood, Bonnie Elizabeth McCormick of Monroe, N.C., and Betty (James William) Boone of Vaiden. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Derek Heinrich, Tammy Sessions-Valladares, Carmen Stout-Karlson, Justin Stout, Pamela Stout Brantz, Patrick Heinrich, Richard Boone, Anna Boone Austin; and six great-grandsons and two step great-granddaughters.
A memorial service will be held on December 9, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Winona.
