Adrienne Leshun Coker, a 33-year-old mother of two girls, was killed during a Wednesday afternoon shooting at the 225 South Wells St. home she reportedly shared with her alleged killer. Police Chief Herbert Dew characterized the shooting as an act of domestic violence.

Winona man charged with fleeing, possession

A Winona man is in police custody after leading law enforcement on a 10-mile pursuit through Montgomery County.

Mondello Lee Holman was arrested by the Winona Police Department and charged with felony fleeing, felony possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and several traffic violations.

Deshun Anderson is now facing charges of domestic aggravated assault and was bound over to the grand jury by Judge Alan D. Lancaster on Thursday morning in Winona City Court.

UPDATE: Carroll County Sheriff Clint Walker said Delma Ree Thomas, 47, died after a tree fell on her home located on County Road 333 in the McCarley area.  He said her two sons were also in the home at the time but were uninjured.

BREAKING: Montgomery County reporting second case of coronavirus

The Mississippi Department of Health is reporting there are 320 cases of coronavirus currently in Mississippi, while Montgomery County is showing two cases and Carroll County is showing none.  There is still only one death reported in the state.

Recipe even better the next day

I found this great recipe on social media, and I made it last week. It was delicious the day I made it, but even better the next day! 

I served it with a green salad with Green Goddesss dressing.  If you haven't tried this dressing, I highly recommend it.  You can also serve with French bread or these Heavenly rolls I listed below.

Coffey commits to Ole Miss

Coffey went to Ole Miss’s football camp this past weekend and the Rebels offered him a scholarship on Sunday. Coffey then visited the school with his mother on Wednesday and made his commitment official later that day.
