Colt Tabor has joined the staff of Montgomery Publishing, publishers of The Winona Times and The Conservative, as a graphics designer and news reporter.
In his professional career, Tabor, a lifelong resident of Winona, is also employed as the District Sales Manager for Cloud 9 LLC, a vaporizer company headquartered out of Oxford, and serves as president of the Grenada Area Sanctuary of Hope, a forthcoming shelter to serve the area.
Tabor is married to the former Elisabeth Murphy of Brandon. Outside of his professional career, he enjoys hunting, fishing, writing, spending time with family and friends, and volunteering.
“I have always loved giving myself back to our community,” Tabor said. “The Bible tells us in Colossians 3:23 ‘Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord,’ and that’s a key principle I live by.”
Tabor, an alumnus of Holmes Community College, is also an audio engineer and member of the Winona Church of God, a member of the Montgomery County Arts Council, and has previously volunteered within the community for charity events, food box drives, and Toys for Tots.
“I look forward to working alongside the talented individuals at The Winona Times and The Conservative, ” said Tabor. “They are the best in the world at what they do.”
Amanda Sexton Ferguson, editor and publisher of The Winona Times and The Conservative, said she is proud to have Tabor join the newspaper team.
“Colt is incredibly creative and a talented graphic designer. Self-taught, Colt is always open to trying new technology to create better newspapers, magazines, and web products for our customers and our readers,” Ferguson said.
