The Winona High School girls track team placed second overall with 99 team points at the North State 3A meet held last Saturday in Winona.
Alcorn Central won the girls division with 141 points, and East Webster was third with 75 points. Independence came in fourth with 70 points, and Holly Springs was fifth with 57 points. Yazoo County was sixth with 50 points, and Mooreville was seventh with 42 points.
In the boys division, Yazoo County placed first with 137 points, and Alcorn Central was second with 92 points. Holly Springs was third with 89 points, and Mooreville was fourth with 49 points. Independence was fifth with 44 points, and Winona came in sixth with 42 points.
The top four in each event from the North State meet advance to the State 3A meet Friday at Pearl High School.

Super Regional 2-3A Meet
Winona’s girls placed first at the Super Region 2-3A meet, which was held last Monday at Winona, with 150.5 points. Yazoo County came in second with 135.5 points, and East Webster was third with 109 points. Mooreville finished fourth with 71 points, and Aberdeen was fifth with 45 points. Amanda Elzy came in sixth with 33 points, and Humphreys County finished seventh with 31 points. Ruleville was eighth with 19 points, and Nettleton was last with 18 points.
In the boys division, Winona placed second with 95 points. Yazoo County won the meet with 224 points, and Mooreville was third with 77 points. Humphreys County came in fourth with 48 points, and Ruleville finished fifth with 46 points. Aberdeen came in sixth with 44 points, and East Webster was seventh with 41 points. Elzy placed eighth with 35 points, and Nettleton was last with 27 points.
