As a way to honor their law enforcement in the county, the Town of Vaiden will hold a First Responders Parade at 6 p.m. on Sept. 10.
Mayor Stella Washington-Bell said during a Vaiden Board of Aldermen meeting that the Vaiden Recreation and Activities Committee wanted to hold this parade to honor those who sacrifice their lives for the safety of those not only in Vaiden but in Carroll County.
She said that the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department and various other agencies will be invited to take part in the parade. The parade will be held in downtown Vaiden as a way to give back and say “thank you” to the first responders. Lineup will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Mulberry Street.
The town of Vaiden is also gearing up for their Vaiden Fall Heritage Festival. The festival will be held Saturday, Oct. 8, in downtown Vaiden. Vendor fees will be $35 per spot and $45 with electricity. Contact the Vaiden City Hall for more information.
