Three men, a Winona man and two Grenada men, were bound over to the grand jury in Montgomery County Justice Court on April 25.
Tommie Purnell, a man charged with felony possession of a weapon on a school campus as well as a misdemeanor charge, was bound over to the grand jury. Purnell, as previous reports state, was charged with being in possession of the weapons at J.J. Knox gym on Dec. 2 after a Winona Secondary School basketball game. Dr. Teresa Jackson said that Winona-Montgomery Consolidated School District had no comment about the case at this time.
Matt Winters, 33, and Nathan Denley, 31, who were both charged with receiving stolen property by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, were bound over to the grand jury. Each had a bond set at $100,000 and both had their bonds reduced to $10,000.
