On this stormy Tuesday afternoon, I am passing the time reading articles from old magazines and I discovered a story entitled "The Pie Safe”. The author speaks of the many coats of paint a family member found until she reached bare wood. This wood was lovingly cut with a simple hand saw, nailed and constructed by inexperienced hands in 1916.
