Lady Stars fall to Oak Hill in back-to-back games

It was a tough week on the softball diamond for the Winona Christian Lady Stars.

The Lady Stars lost two games to Oak Hill last week, falling 12-2 on Monday and 17-5 on Tuesday.

Winona Christian was scheduled to host Pillow on Monday and then play at Washington on Tuesday.

Lady Rebels struggle in tough losses

It was another rough week for the Carroll Academy softball team.

The Lady Rebels dropped a pair of games, falling 14-0 to Calhoun Academy and 20-0 to Starkville Academy.

The Lady Cougars used one big inning to take a run-rule win over the Lady Rebels on Monday.

Carroll Academy football prepares for season

The Carroll Academy football team had a busy week last week.

The Rebels had a joint practice with Central Holmes on Tuesday before traveling to Bayou Academy on Friday for a jamboree.

Coach Bo Milton said he thought Tuesday’s practice with Central Holmes was good, allowing both teams to go good-on-good.
