Library to receive funding for needed roof

Carrollton-North Carrollton Library will be receiving funds to provide routine maintenance in the re-roofing of the building from the Carroll County Board of Supervisors.
Josh Hurst of Beat Two made the motion to accept the lowest bid for the service and Rickie Corley of Beat Five seconded the motion. No opposition was made.

VFW hosts golf tournament

The Michael H. Ball chapter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars will be hosting their Third Annual Golf Tournament on Sat., May 6.
“We started back at the end of 2019,” said tournament organizer, Kit Colvin. He explained that this year’s tournament is mainly organized by Sugar Mullins and himself, but several veterans are involved.
