Carroll Academy’s softball season came to an end on Saturday with a pair of run-rule losses in the Class AAA State tournament.
Carroll lost 17-0 to Clinton Christian in the opener and then fell 16-2 to Lee Academy to end the season. Carroll finishes the season with a 7-19 record.

The Lady Warriors used a pair of big innings to take a run-rule win over the Lady Rebels on Saturday to open the Class AAA State Tournament.
Clinton scored five in the first and 12 in the second. Clinton outhit Carroll 13-1 in the contest.
Lee Academy 16, Carroll 2
The Lady Colts ended just 3 1/2 innings to eliminate the Lady Rebels from the state tournament.
Carroll scored one in the top of the first before Lee answered with three in the first, nine in the second and four in the third. Carroll added another run in the third.
Carroll had four hits as Bella Carter and Meri Brynn Reeves were each 2-for-2 with an RBI. Alana Garrett and Helen Claire Cobb each scored runs for Carroll.
