While the Carroll Academy football team was busy in the playoffs, the Lady Rebels were busy picking up wins.
The Lady Rebels picked up three wins last week, beating Benton 54-21, Canton 58-28 and Washington 52-35.
Carroll was scheduled to travel to Starkville on Monday and host Newton on Tuesday before traveling to North Delton on Thursday. After the Thanksgiving break, Carroll will host Canton on Dec. 3 and host Kirk on Dec. 5.
Carroll girls 54, Benton 21
The Lady Rebels outscored Benton in every period to take a 33-point win.
Carroll led 16-4 at the end of the first and outscored the Lady Raiders 17-6 in the second to lead 33-10 at the half. Carroll extended its lead in the second half, outscoring Benton 13-4 in the third and 8-7 in the fourth.
Gracie Turner had a big night with 20 points and five rebounds. Lainey Claire Dunn had 10 points, five rebounds and four steals. Dru Chamblee had six points and five rebounds while Georgia Neill had six points.
Carroll girls 58, Canton 28
The Lady Rebels built a big first-half lead and cruised to a 30-point win.
Carroll led 20-5 at the end of the first and outscored Canton 19-9 in the second to lead 39-14 at the half. Canton outscored Carroll 6-4 in the third but the Lady Rebels finished by taking the fourth period 15-8.
Gracie Turner led Carroll with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Kaitlyn Chamblee had nine points while Meri Brynn Reeves had seven points. Mary Lakyn Boutwell had five rebounds and four steals.
Carrol girls 52, Washington 35
The Lady Rebels used a big fourth period to pull away and beat the Lady Generals by 17.
Carroll led 14-11 at the end of the first and 23-19 at the half. After each team scored six points in the third, Carroll pulled away by outscored Washington 23-10.
Gracie Turner led Carroll with 13 points and nine rebounds. Dru Chamblee had 11 points while Lainey Claire Dunn had 10 points. Mary Jordan Milton had eight points while Kaitlyn Chamblee had five points.
