Carroll Academy athletic director Tommy Acy said the school has been working on improvements to the sports facilities at the school this summer.
At the football field, Acy said they are building a new ticket booth and bathrooms. Also, the football field is getting a new scoreboard after the old scoreboard was damaged by a storm this past spring. Acy said he expected the new scoreboard to be in place by the end of July, well in time for the regular season.
He also said CA was installing a new fence around the baseball field.
The Rebels were also looking for a baseball coach after Nathan Moncrief took an administrative job at J.Z. George in North Carrollton after one year at Carroll, however, Coach Bo Milton will be coaching baseball as well as football in the upcoming year.
Acy also said Chad Crowe is coming back to the school after being at Newton Academy for one year. Crowe will come back as elementary principal, the same job that Moncrief held, and will also be an assistant in football.
