The Carroll Academy baseball team got the season started with three games last week.
The Rebels brought home just one win as they lost 10-4 to Lee and 12-2 to Washington before finishing out with a 9-3 win over Calhoun.
Carroll was scheduled to host North Delta on Monday and then Washington on Tuesday and finish the week with Leake Academy on Friday.
Lee 10, Carroll 4
The Rebels gave up seven runs in the eighth inning as Lee pulled away in an extra-inning contest.
Each team scored one in the first and Carroll scored one in the fourth to go up 2-1. Lee Scored two in the sixth and Carroll answered with one in the bottom of the frame to send the game to extra innings. Lee then exploded for seven runs in the eighth and took the win.
Carroll had just six hits as Ryan Logan was 2-for-3 with two doubles. Maddox Carpenter singled and scored three runs as well. Lofton Holly singled and drove in two runs.
Logan started on the mound and pitched four innings and gave up one run on four hits and three walks while striking out nine. Reid Blaylock pitched 1 2/3 innings and gave up two runs o two hits and two walks while striking out two.
Ethan Mims got one out before giving way to Austin Mims who pitched 1 2/3 innings while giving up five runs on two hits and two walks. Holly pitched the last 1/3 of an inning and gave up two runs on three hit.
Washington 12, Carroll 2
The Generals scored seven runs late and took a run-rule win over the Rebels on Friday.
Washington scored two in the first, three in the second and seven in the fifth while Carroll scored single runs in the third and fifth innings.
Carroll had just four hits was Lofton Holly was 2-for-2 with a double while Ryan Logan also doubled.
Ethan Mims started on the mound and pitched 1 2/3 innings and gave up five runs on four hits and three walks. Reed Thomas pitched two innings and gave up two runs on three hits while Austin Mims pitched 1/3 of an inning and gave up five runs on three hits and two walks.
Carroll 9, Calhoun 3
The Rebels picked up their first win of the season on Saturday with a six-run win over the Cougars.
Carroll scored in five of the six innings they batted with two in the first, one in the second and three in the third to lead 6-1 early. The Rebels finished with two in the fifth and one in the sixth.
Carroll had nine hits in the contest as Jake Truitt was 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Lofton Holly was 2-for-4 with two runs scored while Brennan Blaylock was 2-for-4. Reid Blaylock singled, walked twice and scored two runs.
Lofton Holly started on the mound and pitched five innings and gave up three runs on four hits and three walks while striking out six. Brennan Blaylock pitched th3e last two innings and gave up just two hits while striking out three.
