JZG falls to Kemper County in playoffs

Winona advances with win over O’Bannon

The Winona High School football team took care of business in the first round of the North 3A playoffs with a 41-22 win over visiting O’Bannon High School last Friday night.
Now, the Tigers (7-4) turn their attention to the Belmont High Cardinals, who are 8-3 and defeated North Panola 28-14 in the first round last week.

The Winona Christian Lady Stars enter this week looking to go over the .500 mark this season.
After an explosion at Mississippi Chemical in Yazoo City forced last Thursday’s road game at Manchester to be postponed, WCS traveled to Canton Academy and won a 39-15 decision over the Lady Panthers.
