Alisha Taylor named player of the game

Winona's Alisha Taylor was named the Player of the Game for the Lady Tigers after they defeated Clarkdale High School 31-29 Saturday at the Philadelphia High Tournament. Presenting the award to Taylor is Philadelphia coach Danzel McCory.

Carroll Academy sweep Indianola

Carroll Academy’s girls’ and boys’ basketball teams pulled off a sweep of Indianola Academy Monday night in Indianola.
The Lady Rebels picked up a 52-22 win over the Lady Colonels. Carroll led 13-5 after one, 28-6 at the half and 43-16 after the third period.
