Both Winona Christian and Carroll Academy football coaches said that despite the records of both teams, anything could happen when the two teams met on the gridiron.

They were both right as Winona Christian used a pair of big plays to take a 13-12 win over Carroll on Friday in the regular-season finale for both teams.

New Coach Howard leads Winona hoops into season opener

The Winona High School boys and girls basketball teams open their 2024-2025 seasons on Nov. 5 at home against Aberdeen High School.

The Tigers are under the direction of first-year coach Woodie Howard, and the Lady Tigers are led by fifth-year coach Howard Phillips.
