Stars fare well in scrimmage at Sylva-Bay

The Winona Christian Stars made final preparations for the beginning of football season. The Stars held a scrimmage with Sylva-Bay Academy on Friday, winning 13-6 in the contest.
As in most pre-season scrimmages, veteran coach Junior Graham said he saw plenty of positive and negatives.

Rebs continue successful ways in 2020

The Carroll Academy Rebels picked up right where they left off last year as they faced their first on-the-field competition of the 2020 football season.
The Rebels played two 20-minute running quarters and took a 14-7 win over Clinton Christian and a 6-0 win over Central Hinds.

Stars using jamboree to evaluate players in positions

The Winona Christian School football will finally find out where it stands this week.
The Stars will travel to Bay Springs on Friday for a pre-season jamboree with Sylva Bay. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m.
Veteran coach Junior Graham said the scrimmage was all about evaluating some players in key positions.
