When Winona quarterback Jekeyvion Burnley went down with injury against Water Valley, it was cause for concern.
But freshman quarterback Chase Richardson took all that concern away as he led the Tigers to 23 unanswered points and the Tigers to a 36-14 win over the Red Devils.

Stars get HC win over Generals

The Winona Christian football team celebrated homecoming with relative ease on Friday night.
The Stars scored early and often as they cruised to a 44-0 win over visiting Newton County Academy on Friday night.
The Stars improve to 5-1 on the season and will travel to rival Carroll Academy this week in a key District 2-3A showdown.

Rebels win district battle against Indianola

Carroll Academy Football Coach Bo Milton knew it was going to be a physical football game with Indianola Academy this week.
Milton was right, and that suited the veteran coach just fine.
The Rebels used a solid rushing attack and a stingy defense to take a 21-14 win over the Colonels on Friday night.
