Tigers to play for north state title

Every game that freshman quarterback Chase Richardson plays, it seems like the Winona signal caller gets a little better.
Richardson continued to impress as he threw for 205 yards and led the Tigers to a 45-35 win over Amory in the third round of the Class 3A North State playoffs this past week.

Basketball games canceled

Winona Christian cancelled both of its basketball games last week as they were scheduled to host Winston and Heritage Academy.
Athletics Director Junior Graham said on Sunday that all three of the games schedule for this week were also being cancelled as well.

Carroll Academy heads to state

Ever since losing to Greenville St. Joseph last year in the Class 3A semifinals, the Irish have been on the mind of the Carroll Academy Rebels.
The Rebels vanquished those thoughts with a suffocating defense as Carroll beat the three-time defending state champions 15-6 on Friday night to advance to the Class 3A state championship game.

Stars fall in semifinals, finish season 10-3

Winona Christian football coach Junior Graham said as he watched Greenville Christian warm up, he knew his stars were in trouble.
Graham was right as Greenville Christian scored early and often and took a convincing 50-7 win in the Class 3A semifinals on Friday night.
