CA hosts Oak Hill

Carroll Academy baseball only got in one game during the spring break holidays.
The Rebels squeezed in a game with Manchester Academy on Saturday, dropping a 10-0 decision.
Carroll was scheduled to play Humphreys on Monday in a doubleheader and will then host Oak Hill on Friday in a non-district contest.

Jaguars rally to beat Elzy

The J.Z. George baseball team tallied 11 runs in the final two frames to cruise past Amanda Elzy 16-9 on March 14 in Greenwood.
Brandon McKenzie (3-1) picked up the win on the mound for the Jaguars, adding a single and run scored at the plate.

Tigers take an 11-5 win on the road in Fla.

The Winona High School baseball team was only able to get in one game last week on its trip to Florida as rain forced the cancellation of their second game on March 15.
However, Winona did play Ponce De Leon, Florida, on March 14, securing an 11-5 win to improve to 5-3 overall.

MSU Bulldogs get new basketball coach

Mississippi State hired New Mexico State coach Chris Jans to lead the Bulldogs’ men's basketball program. Jans is a three-time WAC Coach of the Year and owns an impressive 143-44 record in his six seasons. Jans led New Mexico State to three NCAA tournaments during his tenure in Las Cruces.
