Tigers end season in second round of playoffs

Winona High School wrapped up its 2022 baseball season as the Tigers were swept by Water Valley in the second round of the North 3A playoffs last weekend.
The Tigers dropped Game 1 last Friday 14-1 in Winona. In Game 2, Water Valley claimed a 12-2 win in six innings at Water Valley last Saturday, ending Winona’s season at 15-8.

Lady Stars take second at 4A North State

The Winona Christian girls track team had a strong showing at the Class 4A North State Track meet held last week at Lee Academy.
Winona Christian finished second in the meet with 58 points while Central Holmes was first with 78.5 points.
