Stars take 36-8 victory from Delta Streets

Winona Christian football coach Ken Chandler said there was nothing pretty about Friday night’s win over Delta Streets.
The Stars had 375 yards of total offense and took a 36-8 win over the Lions on Friday night.
Winona Christian improves to 4-3 on the season and will host Marshall Academy on Friday night.

Carroll Rebels face Oak Hill in West Point

With unbeaten Tri-County rolling into town, things didn’t look promising for a good Carroll Academy homecoming game.
But Carroll took Tri-County to the wire, overcoming an early 13-0 deficit but eventually fell 26-19.
Carroll falls to 3-4 on the season and will travel to Oak Hill this week.

Lady Tigers head to 3A playoffs second round

Winona High School’s girls’ volleyball team will wrap up its regular season with a match at Eupora High School Thursday.
The Lady Tigers, who played at Grace Christian School Tuesday, will play in the second round of the MHSAA Class 3A playoffs on Oct. 11 against either Hatley, North Panola or Byhalia. Winona drew a first-round bye.
