Friends of the Library win statewide award

The Winona-Montgomery Friends of the Library received statewide recognition last week in Vicksburg at the Mississippi Library Association’s annual conference. For outstanding contributions to libraries and for making the biggest impact to library service in the community, the Friends were presented the Chapter One Award.

October is grains commodity month

Fall harvesting highways are full of combines and big grain trucks traveling back and forth from the fields to the grain bins for storage. It is a nuisance to be traveling behind combines, and large trucks, trusting your judgment in passing and having to practice patience.
