October is coming to an end, but not without its memories. This month people have celebrated homecomings, fall break activities, Halloween, birthdays, and successes on and off the football fields and in and out of classrooms. Sometimes it's hard to remember the awesome things that have happened, and the memories made when we live in a world where we are always rushing to the next thing or looking for something better or more exciting. Yet, memories are very important.
Memories keep us grounded, humbled, and grateful amongst the chaos that may come. This month for me I coached soccer for the first time, drove for the Senior scavenger hunt for the first time, I went to my first Ole Miss football game, and I lost my Granny, but oh what wonderful memories even that sadness brought to my heart.
Psalm 77:11-12 says “I will remember the works of the Lord; Yes I will remember your works of long ago. I will consider all your works and think of all your mighty deeds.”
You see the memories that we make, when we break them down, can remind us of the goodness of God, His faithfulness to us, or just how much He has blessed us, and that is the biggest thing we need reminding of. So as this month ends make some memories or think back on memories that you made. Take pictures of those things with your mind, hold them in your heart, and call them up on the hard days you may have. Remember Ms. Faulk loves you, but Jesus loves you more.
