Today adults, teachers, and people you may meet say things like you are so smart, you are so beautiful/or handsome, and maybe they say you are talented. Those are good things for people to say about you, but if I had to pick something that I wanted people to say about me, it would be that I was kind.

Montgomery County Vocational High School Class of 1965 celebrates 60 years

Twenty-three members of the Montgomery County Vocational High School Class of 1965 met recently to renew old friendships and reflect on their school days as they celebrated their 60th year reunion. On Friday, July 11, they traveled to the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum in Jackson.

An auditor’s report says procurement cards aren’t activated until after many schools start classes. Education officials say funds are being released earlier.

A card that pays for classroom supplies for Mississippi teachers is activated too late to be useful, a new report from the auditor’s office says.
