In the waning hours of May 13, 2020, Jesus stretched out His Hand and He and Tina Crane Fox Hendren walked across Jordan into Heaven. It was her heart’s desire to be home with her Jesus, her father and mother, her son Mike and the family she had waiting for her there. She was truly joyful at the thought of that reunion.
A private graveside service was held at the Grenada Memorial Garden.
Tina was born September 15, 1952 in Quitman in Clarke County. Tina’s genuine love for Jesus and for others shone in her life. Her door was never closed to anyone who needed a big hug, a good cup of coffee and a dose of her wonderful laughter. How many of us have experienced that door flung open with arms outstretched, smiling, welcoming you in with her characteristic “Come on in this house!”
Tina worked for many years with her mother and her sister as Co-Owner of Crane’s Tax Service in Grenada. Tina was a strikingly beautiful young woman, but most importantly she was just as beautiful inside as out. Her generosity, kindness, and open heart for others was a blessing to those who knew her. She cut our hair, kept our children, baked for us, and if you admired something she had, offered to give it to you.
She is preceded by her parents Jay Crane and Dorothy Mitchell Crane and her son Michael Glen Fox Jr. She is survived by her much-loved sister, Ronda Schiefer and her husband Randy of Kilmichael, and her children, whom she cherished, Sedrick J. Fox (Dawn) and Bobbie Sue Lee (Daniel), 4 grandchildren: Molly Fox Clements, Preston Lee, Mike Fox and Maggie Fox, plus one great-grandchild Ainsley Clements.
In addition, she leaves her three nieces, cousins and extended family. She will be missed and lovingly remembered by those who were fortunate to have been part of her life. The family would like to thank Legacy Hospice and the wonderful sitters who tirelessly cared for her in the last days of her life.
Memorials in her honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.mckibbenandguinn.com. Arrangements were entrusted to McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada.
