Mary Elizabeth "Tutter" Terry, 82, of Greenwood, formerly of Coila, passed away at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson on Friday, June 19, 2020.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 23, from 1 p.m. until service time, at 3 p.m. in the Lee Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in Coila Cemetery in Coila. Rev. Leon Holly officiated the services.
Mrs. Terry was born in Coila to James Henry "Slim" and Mattie Elizabeth "Sis" Sudduth on July 22, 1937. She was a graduate of J. Z. George High School in North Carrollton and was of Methodist faith. She was a retired secretary and bookkeeper for Delta Machine Works in Greenwood.
Mrs. Terry is survived by her two daughters, Janice McClain (Jerry) of Carrollton and Rita Haley of Greenwood; her son, Paul S. Terry Jr. of Greenwood; six grandchildren, Ryan Terry, Paul Haley (Jami), Austin Bennett, Katie Terry, Dylan Terry, and Sarah Elizabeth McClain; and one great-grandchild, Avonlea Haley. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Stewart Terry, Sr.; and sister, Joyce Ann Janiszewski.
Pallbearers were Robert Bennett, Ryan Terry, Paul Haley, Austin Bennett, Dylan Terry, and Jerry McClain.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Coila Cemetery Fund, P. O. Box 623, Carrollton, MS 38917.
