Joyce Bernice Murrah, 86, of Greenwood, died Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Riverview Nursing Home. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Centerville Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. George Alfred Mims will officiate.
Mrs. Murrah was born July 19, 1933 to William Howard Jackson and Mattie Sue Jones Jackson in Leflore County. She was retired from Baldwin Piano and was a member of Lighthouse Ministries. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Calvin Shackleford and Bill Murrah; son, Billy Paul Shackleford; two daughters, Brenda Sue Tierce and Brenda Joyce Shackleford; granddaughter, Judy Sue Weldon; and her parents.
She is survived by her son, Rev. Larry Edward Shackleford of Greenwood; brothers, James Howard Jackson of Greenwood, and Johnny Harold Jackson of Southaven; sister, Betty Sue Wilson of Starkville; six grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be William Shackelford, Trey Winters, Austin Woodall, Paul May, James Weldon, and Doug Shields.
