Funeral services for Mr. Jesse Wayne Kilgore, of Stewart, were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Martin Jacks officiated the service. Pallbearers were Tyler Kilgore, Charlie Kilgore, Thomas Tyson, Gregg Kilgore, Chris McIntyre, Jason Burney, Jeremy Kilgore and Ankie Vaughn.
Visitation was Saturday, Sept. 23, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mr. Jesse Wayne Kilgore, 74, passed away Monday, Sept. 18, 2023, at Baptist Medical Center in Kosciusko. He was born in Stewart, Miss. to Jesse McCain and Emma Jean Murphy Kilgore on Dec. 29, 1948. He was a member of Tri-County Baptist Church in Stewart and a truck driver for more than 40 years. He had a knack for welding, could build anything, and was a motorcycle enthusiast.
Mr. Kilgore is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jean Fondren Kilgore of Stewart; sons, Jason Kilgore (LeeAnne) of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Justin Kilgore (Calah) of Stewart; sisters, Myra Wetzel, Patsy Kilgore, Janiece Kilgore, and Vickie Collins; brothers, Clyde Kilgore (Elise), Stevie Kilgore (Jennifer), Benny Kilgore (Jane), and Ricky Kilgore (Janice); six grandchildren, Jakob, Gabriel, Cash, Jessie Grace, Joshua, and Matthew; and one great-grandchild, Braxton. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Billy Kilgore.
