Jerry Thomas Caldwell, 66, died on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Merit Hospital in Biloxi.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home. Rev. Lanny Haley officiated services. Services were held Wednesday, July 28, 2021 10 a.m. at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood.
He was born on October 16, 1954 in Kosciusko, to the late William Edward Thomas Caldwell and Barbara Flynn Caldwell. He worked at Express Grain for the past 43 years. He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church in Money, MS. He loved to fish and watch baseball, especially the Atlanta Braves. He was a loving grandfather to his grandchildren and many others. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Cristin Nicole Caldwell, and brother, Ricky Caldwell.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Adcock Caldwell of Carrollton; two daughters, Dawn Caldwell and Jeri Bankston of both Carrollton; two sisters, Margaret Chester of Ocean Springs, and Jeanne (Ray) Wise of Louise; brother, Steve (Cheryl) Caldwell of Madison; and three grandchildren, Michael Thomas Bankston, Cristin Renea Bankston, and Bristol Lynn Skutley.
Pallbearers will be Michael Wayne Bankston, Matthew Ruscoe, Nathan Carpenter, Athan Shute, Laike Shute, Jim Hammer, and Russ Wise. Honorary Pallbearer will be George Floyd. Interment will follow in Mt Pisgah Cemetery.
