Henry Samuel Knight Jr., 76, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. He was born in Jacksonville, Texas to Henry Samuel and Eva Scoggins Knight on Oct. 21, 1946. He was retired from construction and enjoyed fishing and was known to love a Ford over a Chevy. He was proud to have served his country in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his daughter, Desirae Toth of Winona; son, Justin Knight of Duck Hill; sister, Gloria Richardson of Chesbrough, La.; two grandchildren, Jayda Johnston and Kiera Knight; and a great-grandchild, Rowan Tate Barfield. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Binder.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 27, in the North Mississippi Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Kilmichael. The Rev. Andy Coburn will officiate the service.
