Harry Geotes II, 53, of Columbus, and formerly of Winona, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, at St. Dominic Medical Center in Jackson.
Visitation was Saturday, from 11 a.m. until service time, at Oliver Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service was held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, at Oakwood Cemetery in Winona. Bro. Dathan Lambeth officiated the service.
Mr. Geotes was born to Harry and Sue May Geotes on February 28, 1967, in Gulfport, Mississippi. He was an aircraft mechanic at Columbus Air Force Base and a member of Moore Memorial United Methodist Church in Winona. He enjoyed bass fishing in his spare time.
Pallbearers were Stevie May, Dale May, Chris Mitchell, Glynn Lowe, Cody Beasley, and Robert Replogle Jr., with Robert Replogle serving as honorary pallbearer.
His father preceded him in death, along with his grandparents, Arnold and Inez May and Ruth Mann Terrell and Harry D. Geotes.
Mr. Geotes is survived by his wife, Dolly Geotes of Columbus; mother, Sue Geotes of Winona; daughter, Katlynn Geotes Xhafkollari (Anxhelo) of Oxford; stepdaughter, Hilary Alford of Cumberland; stepsons, C. J. Young of Eupora, William Alford and Justin Alford both of Columbus; sister, Susan Geotes Word (Drennan) of Lexington; two grandchildren, Xavier and Isobelle Young; two nieces; and one nephew.
