Mr. Drew Harvey Denton of Vaiden, 71, passed away Monday, May 24, 2021, at his residence in Vaiden.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, May 27, at Oliver Chapel in Winona with Rev. Doug Warren officiating.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at Oliver Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Michie Cemetery in Vaiden.
Mr. Denton was born March 18, 1950, in Louisiana to Sam Harvey and Lois Faye Bennett Denton.
He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Vaiden and worked in maintenance for the Mississippi Department of Transportation prior to retiring.
Mr. Denton was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Armon Keith Denton; stepson, Tracy King; brother, Willie Ray Denton; and sister, Shelby Jean Story.
Mr. Denton is survived by his wife, Martha Ann Denton; daughter, Delana Denton Weeks (fiance' Mike Hemphill) of Louisville; son, Keith Denton (Carlee) of Tonkawa, Okla.,; sister, Barbara Hilmus of Greenwood; son, I.D. Denton of Ruleville; five grandchildren; and one step grandson.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Wiggins, Mike Hemphill, Cale Denton, Casey Wiggins, Randy Henson, and Tim King.
