Betty Jo Vance Chesteen, of Winona, 84, passed away at her home on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. A graveside service for will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Eskridge Cemetery in Eskridge. Rev. Reidis Nash will officiate the service.
Mrs. Chesteen, She was born on January 27, 1937 to Dot and Maurine McCoy Kuffner. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church in Carroll County.
She is survived by her sons, Brice Vance and Brent Vance, both of Winona. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Rev. Walter Noble Vance and Thomas Purnell Chesteen; and her grandson, Walter Brent "Walt" Vance.
