Rayburn “Buster” Curtis Price Jr., 67, of Greenwood, died on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024, at his residence. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 21, at Williams & Lord Funeral Home with visitation from 1 p.m. until service time. The burial will be in Itta Bena Cemetery. The Rev. James Sheedy will officiate.
Mr. Price was born Mar. 11, 1956, to Rayburn Curtis Price and Etta Ruth Horton Price. He enjoyed working and was a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Curtis Price; half-brother, Clovis Price; sister, Rita Sheedy; and his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Brenda Gay Barnes Price of Greenwood; daughter, Stacy Price Manning and husband Joshua of Brandon; sister, Janice Dykes of Ruleville; sister, Mary Ann Tackett of Black Hawk; half-sister, Linda Ray Greer of Cleveland; eight grandchildren, Rivers Manning, Raney Manning, Joshua Manning, Ruthie Manning, Brian Price Jr., Bailey Price, Austin Clardy, and Madison Clardy; and four great-grandchildren, Jaxson Covey, Kyler Covey, Lawson Clardy, and Rowan Clardy.
Pallbearers will be Dusty Barnes, Doye Barnes, Randy Barnes, Josh Manning, Joshua Manning, and Glenn Price.
