Funeral services for Alton Glynn Downs, of Vaiden, were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Poplar Springs Church near Kilmichael, with burial following in the church cemetery. The Rev. Tony Black officiated the services. Pallbearers were Philip Beck, Steve Powers, Corley Thompson, Durward Stanton, Bill Rhine, and Billy Joe Ferguson.
