The Town of Duck Hill is switching garbage providers. The board of aldermen requested bids from several providers and accepted the bid from ADSI. Previously, the town had a contract with Waste Management but decided to switch and go with ADSI.
The switch goes into effect on Monday, Nov. 2.
Also, the town is not allowing door-to-door trick or treating, instead Nora White with the organization, Queens of Millennium Men will hold a trunk-or-treat at the old Duck Hill Elementary School on Oct. 31 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
There is still no decision on whether the town will hold its Christmas parade, but more information about it will be released when it is available.
