The Montgomery County Board of Supervisors voted to consolidate the polling places at Kilmichael Town Hall and the Kilmichael Masonic Lodge for the upcoming primary and general elections.
At Tuesday’s regular meeting of the board, the board agreed that all voters who usually vote at the Kilmichael Town Hall will vote at the Kilmichael Masonic Lodge for August’s primary election and November’s general election. The decision was made due to renovation efforts currently underway in downtown Kilmichael.
According to Chancery Clerk Ryan Wood, there is approximately 600 voters who cast their ballots at the Kilmichael Town Hall and Masonic Lodge. Although it is considered one polling place, due to lack of space, half the voters vote at town hall, while the other half votes at the lodge.
For the 2019 elections, all voters at both those polling places will vote at the Kilmichael Masonic Lodge.
