WINONA – Circuit Judge George Mitchell accepted plea agreements in Montgomery County Circuit Court last Monday at the Montgomery County Courthouse.
Cleveland Robinson pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana and was sentenced to three years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, with 364 days suspended, and two years and 364 days on post release supervision. He must also pay all court costs and fees and will lose his driving privileges for 1 year. This sentence is to run concurrently with another sentence handed down for Robinson in Attala County.
Larry Campbell pleaded guilty to felony possession of stolen property. He was sentenced to serve a term of six years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, with five suspended and one to serve, and five years of five years. He must also pay restitution in the amount of $1,000 to the victim, Grout Incorporated of Fultondale, Ala., and all court costs and assessments.
Jim Bruce Looney pleaded guilty to felon in possession of a firearm. He was sentenced to 10 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, with eight years suspended and two to serve in the Intensive Supervision Program/House Arrest Program. He will also be required to do five years of post-release supervision, and pay all court costs and assessments.
