Leap year brings five Saturdays to February this year, and for some, it’s an extra workday. For others, it’s an extra free day. So, what are you doing with it?
Moore Memorial United Methodist Church in Winona wants to encourage everyone to use that time to do something for someone else. Pastor Chad Bowen said the church would host a day of service Saturday, Feb. 29.
Bowen said they would work at Winona High School, Winona Elementary School, and he wants to get more businesses on board. It’s a free day, open to anyone who wants to lend a hand and serve someone else.
