Approximately $2,800 worth of jewelry stolen from a Winona residence on June 4 was recovered by the Winona Police Department last week.
According to Captain Dan Herod, chief investigator for the Winona Police Department, thanks to information gathered from a local business and statements provided by residents, a break in the investigation into the theft of jewelry from a home on North Union Street in Winona led to the recovery of the jewelry and an arrest.
Richard Elevery, 44, of Winona was arrested Saturday and charged with grand larceny.
Currently, he is being held on a $5,000 bond at the Carroll-Montgomery Regional Correctional Facility.
