Those who have received jury notices for Montgomery County Circuit Court are excused from duty.
According to Montgomery County Circuit Clerk Lanelle Martin, those who have been notified to appear for jury duty in Montgomery County Circuit Court on April 6 are excused.
“We are not canceling court,” Martin said. “But we are not having a jury at this time.”
Today’s session of Montgomery County Circuit Court, scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., will continue, according to Martin’s office as of press time Wednesday.
In Carroll County, Circuit Clerk Durward Stanton said the recalled grand jury, originally scheduled to return later this month in Carroll County’s Second District, has been canceled.
Montgomery County Tax Assessor/Collector
The Montgomery County Board of Supervisors approved the request of Montgomery County Tax Assessor/Collector Laurie Lockett to close the office to walk-in traffic.
“The doors will be locked, and we are asking people to use the mail and telephone [to conduct business with the office], unless it has to do with titles,” Lockett said. “Then you will need to call and make an appointment.”
