WINONA – Several defendants recently indicted by a Montgomery County Grand Jury came before Circuit Judge Joseph Loper, Jr. for arraignments Tuesday morning. The fall term of Montgomery County Circuit Court will begin on October 7.
• Charles Washington, Jr., was indicted for burglary of a building in connection with the Wednesday, July 10 burglary of The Crow’s Nest on Summit Street in Winona. According to the Winona Police Department, the cash register and all of its contents were taken in the burglary.
This is Washington’s second burglary charge for The Crow’s Nest. He was convicted of burglary of The Crow’s Nest more than two years before and served two years in prison before being released the on July 9, the day before the most recent burglary.
Loper appointed public defender Lee Bailey as defense counsel and continued bond at $100,000.
• Patrick Christy was indicted for possession of a fire arm by a felon, for allegedly being in possession of a .380 handgun. Christy has a felony conviction in Paulding County, Ga.
• Keisha Jones was indicted on four counts of cyberstalking. According to the indictment, Jones is charged with threatening four females with bodily harm on Facebook Live. Bailey was appointed as defense counsel and bond was continued at $25,000.
• Quentin Sanders was indicted for felony malicious mischief in connection with the vandalism of an automobile and a cellular phone. Bailey was appointed defense counsel, and bond was continued at $5,000.
• Kwontavious Deshawn “Little Metro” Ford was indicted for one count of burglary of a dwelling in connection with a February 9 burglary at 505 Herring Street in Winona. Bailey was appointed defense counsel, and bond was continued at $5,000. Loper set a trial date for October 14.
• Jatory Washington was indicted for burglary of a building, and if he is convicted, he also faces a sentence enhancement for a habitual offender.
Washington stands accused of burglarizing El Cabrito Mexican Restaurant in Winona on August 9. Bailey was appointed defense counsel.
• Reginald Small was indicted for grand larceny and felony fleeing. Grenada attorney Clyde Hill was appointed defense counsel, and bond was continued at $25,000.
According to the indictment, Small is accused of stealing a light blue Volkswagen Beetle, a battery charger, a toolset, and a Stihl chainsaw on July 18 in Winona.
• Cordarrius Robinson was indicted for one count of burglary of a building, one count of burglary of a dwelling, and one count of burglary of an automobile. Bailey was appointed defense counsel, and bond was set cumulatively at $50,000.
According to the indictment, Robinson stands accused of burglarizing an out building on Eskridge Street in Duck Hill, an automobile on Sykes Street in Duck Hill, and a home on Fisher Crossing in Montgomery County.
• Aaron McNeil was indicted as a co-defendant in the Fisher Crossing home burglary with Cordarrius Robinson. Grenada attorney Brad Daigneault was appointed defense counsel, and bond was continued at $10,000.
• Marcus White was indicted for malicious mischief in connection with the vandalism of Duck Hill Baptist Church. Bailey was appointed defense counsel, and Loper reduced bond from $50,000 to $15,000.
• Lisa Austin Reynolds was indicted for simple assault on a law enforcement officer, a felony charge, and felony fleeing. The indictment stated that former Montgomery County Deputy Jay Bennett was the officer assaulted in the case.
• Yolanda Charles was indicted for felony driving under the influence. Daigneault was appointed as defense counsel.
• Christopher Blunt was indicted on one count possession of more than two grams but less than 10 grams of methamphetamine. Bond was continued at $10,000.
