Carroll County’s spike in coronavirus cases continues. Today, the Mississippi Department of Health reported that Carroll County has 77 cases of coronavirus are four of those cases are at a long-term care facility.
Sunday’s numbers show Carroll County now has 62 cases of coronavirus, which jumped from 58 Friday, with four new cases.
Twenty-three of those testing positive are black, 15 are whites. There’s currently one unknown case in a black person, one in a white person, and 37 unknown cases are currently under investigation.
The MSDH reported there are four cases at a long-term health facility. Two of those patients testing positive are whites, the patient succumbing to the illness was black, and there is an unknown case at the facility.
