A Winona man has been bound over to the action of the Montgomery County Grand Jury.
Brandon Chase Marlow, 28 of Winona went before Justice Larry Bamberg in the Montgomery County Justice Court Tuesday morning. Marlow was arrested Jan. 28 and is charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and possession of a controlled substance.
County Prosecutor Ryan Taylor recused himself from the case because he said he represents Marlow in Chancery court. A special prosecutor will be appointed to hear Marlow’s case in Circuit Court if he’s indicted by the Grand Jury.
Defense Attorney Lee Bailey asked for Bamberg to reduce Marlow’s bail, originally set at $25,000.
“He has an MDOC hold on him just in case anything happens. He can’t go anywhere, does it have to be that high?” Bailey asked.
Bamberg allowed the reduction, reducing it to $5,000 on each count.
