NATIONAL SUMMARY
In the central and northern Plains, thunderstorms, some
severe, will rumble tomorrow. Afternoon and evening
thunderstorms in Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa and Missouri may
bring localized damaging wind gusts, hail and flooding
downpours. Across the Midwest and Northeast it will be
primarily dry and comfortable. There may be a spotty
afternoon shower in northern New England. Across the
Southeast and southern Plains, it will be hot and humid with
an afternoon thunderstorm along the coast and in Florida.
Elsewhere, afternoon thundershowers will dot the high
terrain of the Rockies from New Mexico to Montana. In the
Northwest it will be cool along the coast and comfortable in
the interior, meanwhile, it will be sunny and warm across
California; there can be hazy skies from wildfire smoke.
