NATIONAL SUMMARY
A potent storm will spread showers and thunderstorms across
much of the East tomorrow. Steadier rain is likely in
portions of southern Michigan to southern New York and
northern Pennsylvania. Meanwhile, rain and thunderstorms
will soak the Southeast, and can lead to flooding in
low-lying and poor drainage areas. Thunderstorms can become
severe across southern Alabama, southern Georgia, northern
Florida and coastal South Carolina, where they can produce
locally damaging winds, hail and isolated tornadoes. On the
other side of the nation, another storm will track eastward
across the Rockies, bringing showers and thunderstorms from
Montana to Colorado. Thunderstorms will move to the east
into North and South Dakota late by the afternoon. The West
Coast will experience dry and pleasant conditions.
