NATIONAL SUMMARY
A cold front will deliver a burst of snow from
eastern Indiana and central Ohio into western portions of
Virginia and North Carolina tomorrow as temperatures drop.
South and east of there, rain showers are expected from
central Virginia to the coast of the Carolinas. Otherwise,
dry and noticeably colder conditions are in store behind the
cold front from the Midwest across the interior Northeast.
Locations from the South into the Plains will be dry, with a
warming trend starting to take shape in the northern Plains
as milder air arrives. The West will largely be dry as well
due to a broad zone of high pressure. However, the latest
disturbance to reach the Northwest is expected to bring snow
to the Washington Cascades, northern Idaho and western
Montana, with rain for coastal Washington.
