NATIONAL SUMMARY
A major storm will bring rain and even thunderstorms to the
lowlands of Southern California tomorrow. Flooding and
mudslides along with road closures will be possible. A
full-fledged blizzard is expected to continue in the
mountains, and passes are likely to remain closed. Light
snow will fly in the Great Lakes and New England. A few
flurries are forecast farther south, but temperatures will
be well above freezing. In the even warmer air, a zone of
occasional rain and drizzle will stretch from Oklahoma and
North Carolina. Nothing more than spotty showers are
expected from Louisiana to South Carolina. The Northwest
will be quiet, but another cold storm later in the weekend
will bring more snow to Washington, Oregon and Northern
California.
