NATIONAL SUMMARY
A very large, potent storm system will continue to move
eastward tomorrow, bringing an extensive swath of heavy snow
to much of the country. Snow will stretch from the Cascades
and Sierra Nevada through the Rockies, northern Plains,
Midwest and portions of the interior Northeast throughout
the day. Just to the south, extending from eastern Nebraska
to western New York and northern Pennsylvania, sleet and
freezing rain will lead to icy and hazardous conditions.
Meanwhile, showers and thunderstorms are likely to develop
during the morning hours from eastern Oklahoma to central
Missouri. A few of these storms may be severe, with strong
wind gusts, hail and perhaps a tornado all possible threats.
